Worcester Food Bank has received over 2,300 canned and non-perishable food items as part of our Christmas Food Drive.
Between 29th November and 14th December students from all year groups and staff showed their generous side by bringing in items to school for donation. We also received £35 in monetary donations for the foodbank.
Erin Butler, Lead Practitioner in Maths, organised the appeal. She commented:
“Due to everything that has taken place in the past 18 month, more people in our local area have had to rely on Worcester Food Bank and we’re delighted to have been able to support their invaluable service. It was great to see our school community pull together, and the generosity of our students, their families and my colleagues never fails to surprise me.
“A massive thank you to everyone who donated. Special mentions must go to Mr Rogers and his tutor group who donated a massive 287 donations between them, and to Year 10 student Lewis Soady who saved his pocket money to purchase 120 cans of food.”
